These Terms govern your use of AskTheAuthor. By creating an account or purchasing a book, you agree to them.
Accounts, payments, refunds, and acceptable use are described here in plain language.
Privacy Policy
We collect only what we need to run the service: account email, billing details handled by Stripe, and the voice/video samples and books you upload.
We never sell user data. We do not train third-party models on your content without explicit per-use consent.
Author Agreement
You retain full ownership of your book, voice clone, and video avatar. You grant AskTheAuthor a non-exclusive license to host them and serve them to readers you authorize.
You set the price of your book and receive 100% of that price, less a flat $1 per sale for payment processing. You receive 15% of any reader upgrade package — audio or video. Payouts on the 1st of each month.
